The Story of Vedtara

Vedic astrology is a systematic discipline with millennia of accumulated wisdom. It deserves better than approximation — and people deserve better than vague predictions.

Why Vedtara Exists

Ved means Vedic knowledge. Tara means star. Together, they represent our mission: to bring the full depth of classical Vedic astrology into a computationally precise, transparent, and accessible form.

Most astrology platforms offer surface-level chart generation — planetary positions and generic interpretations. Vedtara goes deeper. Our engine computes behavioral probabilities, detects classical yogas with source citations, models compatibility at the behavioral level, and generates life narratives grounded in dasha timing.

We believe astrology is not fortune-telling. It is a framework for understanding tendencies, timing, and patterns. When computed properly and communicated with care, it becomes a powerful tool for self-awareness.

Philosophy

How We Approach Astrology

Classical Fidelity

Every computation is rooted in classical texts. We don't invent new astrology — we compute the existing one properly. Every indicator cites its source: Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Jataka Parijata, Phaladeepika, or Saravali.

Transparent Methodology

Every score is traceable. Every yoga has a citation. Every behavioral tendency maps to specific indicators with pull and protect weights. We show our work, because astrology deserves computational rigor.

Compassionate Communication

Astrology should empower, not frighten. We present tendencies and timing, always with context and agency. Difficult periods are framed with constructive guidance, never sensationalized.

02 Nakshatra, dignity, and house analysis
03 Aspect and Shadbala strength scoring
04 Dasha timeline computation (3 systems)
05 Yoga detection and classical pattern matching
06 Behavioral probability scoring (494 indicators)
07 Life domain analysis (7 domains, 3 layers each)
